Joseph Callaway of Bedford Co., Va line. Great site. Looking forward to the mailings.
Have been reviewing census records on Callaways to help me put together the roots of my grandparents and greatgrandparents. My greatgrandfather, William J. Callaway, was born in Nashville, TN in 1845. His parents, William S. and Elizabeth, moved to Jackson, TN, where his family lived per the 1850 census. William S. and Elizabeth were born in Virginia, per the census. Other siblings of William J. include John A.,and Elizabeth. William S. was born approx. 1811. William J. and large family of 11 moved to Atlanta, GA in the early 1880's. Would appreciate anyone who could link William S. to one of the colonial ancestors.
Again, this is a great site, I am trying to find my gg grandfather's burial site. His name was Franklin Willis Callaway, born 7 April 1817 in Tenn. Do not know his parents names. He was called Francis Callaway in the 1850 census. Nowhere to be found in the 1860 census and died 24 December 1866. Any info would be appreciated.
Great Web Page

The web page looks really great, and is helpful. You do a super job. Appreciate your listing the bulletins in a printable format, so can share with others who do not have access. Hope to visit it more often.
Just looking around. Son of Hollis R. (Pete) Callaway - Haskell county, Texas
I have just started to trace my family tree for my father Leslie Alfred Callaway born 3 March 1924 in Melbourne, Australia. I am fascinated by what I see & would love to know more.
I for got to say that my Great Gradfather's name was Oree Vest Callaway, and his sister name was Zulah. I have old picture at my mother's hous of them......they were cute when they were little.
I was born into one on the Callaway families of Sacramento, Ca. I have always been fasinated by the name and where it had come from. I new that all people who had the last name Callaway were conected somehow. It is interesting to see which part of the ancestry went to a wealthy part in life and others who are just normal everyday people. I have found out more about the Callaway name than any other page or book that I have encountered. Thanks
I am a great....great, etc. granddaughter to Peter and Elizabeth Callaway. I am wondering if there is any information on their families or their birth places.
My Grandfather was Air Vice Marshal William Bertram Callaway. I am interested in tracing his family tree and am quite prepared to contribute what I know to you.

Great site, interesting to see the coat of arms, we have a hard copy in the house and didnt't know much about it.
I was searching for details to help my Mother compile our family tree when I luckily 'stumbled' upon this wonderful site. I've already phoned my Mum to read out a lot of what is written here. We will be meeting up next month and are already planning to look at all your information together. The Callaway side of our family came from Cornwall and travelled to the North East of England......well I don't want to spoil your quiz, but hopefully my Mother and I will be able to sort through all the information and contact you soon. My Mother has been working hard to find out all she can, and I think this site will be a great help, and of course we will help in any way we can. Thank you. Best Wishes, Janice.
Hello, I am the Great...etc. granddaughter of James Callaway, William Callaway, Ned Bridges...not sure what grandchild I am but am there. Hello everyone!!
