The Bulletin for May will be in 2 sections, and Part 1 will be relatively brief due to giving priority to preparations for the upcoming Board meeting in Victoria, B.C. this week. Highlights of that meeting will be featured in Part 2 next week.


IN  MEMORIAM

Ramon W. Callaway, Sr. passed away in Crockett, Texas on Sunday, April 22, 2001. He was born in Anderson Co., TX in 1910, the son of Cleophas and Sallye Rainey Lacy Callaway. Ramon spent most of his life in Crockett where he raised his five children. He was a retired Funeral Director and owner of the Callaway Funeral Home there. He was a Charter, Life, and Star Member of the Callaway Family Association and was an avid genealogist. Funeral services for Mr. Callaway were held in the First United Methodist Church of Crockett on Tuesday, April 24, 2001. Interment followed at the Evergreen Memorial Park. Our deepest sympathy is extended to his family. Mr. Callaway's autobiography appeared in the February 2001 issue of the Bulletin.

Part 2 will contain an autobiographical sketch by Richard S. King, one of the first STAR members. To be continued after the May 4-5 Board meeting.
